What is an ARC?
‘ARC’ is an ‘Advanced Reader Copy’ shared with readers for the purpose of having reviews available when a book launches. Ratings and Reviews help a book’s visibility and is a vital tool to its success.
Even if you choose not to sign up for my ARC Team, please consider leaving ratings and reviews for any author’s work you have enjoyed. They are especially critical to independent and small press authors.
I often use reviews in my promotions and advertising.
Reviews
I will share a free digital book in exchange for an honest review. Most of my stories are steamy and have paranormal or magical elements. If you find my story is not for you – that’s OK! Just let me know and I will remove your name from the ARC Team. You can opt out of the ARC Team at any time you wish.
Requirements
When I have an ARC ready, I will query the ARC Team via email to see who is available for that reading period. Anyone available should respond by email and I will send an e-copy of the book to be reviewed.
Post your Review to at least one review platform such as: Amazon, Good Reads, Barns & Noble, BookBub etc., consisting of: Your honest review of the book (*No Spoilers Please!*) and a starred rating. The more platforms your review appears on – the better, and very much appreciated.
*Only one is Required.
It needs to be posted within 14 days of receipt of ARC (or within 3 days of release if you receive your copy early). Once your review has been posted, email the review link to jodikendrickauthor@gmail.com
Readers who do not meet the 14 day requirement will be removed from the ARC Team. If you still want to do the review but require more time, please contact me. Life gets tricky sometimes and I appreciate your time.
Reviewers receiving free books must disclose: “I received a free review copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.”
